Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture
We practice traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as a holistic natural healing method with thousands of years of experience. We view each person as a whole and promote the balance of body, mind (Shen), and vital energy.
Our treatment approach is based on the proven Five Elements Principle, which explains and treats the relationships and interactions within the body individually.
A central element of our work is acupuncture. It dissolves blockages, improves energy flow, and is especially helpful for gynecological issues – from infertility and bladder problems to menstrual and menopausal symptoms.
In addition, acupuncture is effective for chronic pain, ENT conditions (such as sinusitis or tinnitus), weight reduction, stroke aftercare, and mental health concerns such as depression, stress, or anxiety disorders.
We’re happy to support you personally and individually in our TCM consultations.

Dr. med. Saputra has been dedicated to acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for many years – a passion deeply rooted in his heritage. As a child in his home country, he was repeatedly treated and healed by his parents using TCM. His conviction and enthusiasm for acupuncture continued alongside his medical career in Germany. Dr. Saputra holds the official title of Specialist in Acupuncture (additional qualification recognized by the German Medical Association of Thuringia) and the DÄGfA A-Diploma (German Medical Association for Acupuncture).
The Mahameru Center, led by Dr. Saputra, is currently in the accreditation process with the Swiss Institute for Continuing Medical Education (SIWF) through the Association of Swiss Medical Societies for Acupuncture and TCM (ASA). Upon receiving the official Swiss diploma in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy, and TCM (expected in summer 2026), basic Swiss health insurance will cover the costs for acupuncture, herbal therapy, or auricular acupuncture.
Until the official Swiss recognition is granted, we offer two free acupuncture sessions including consultation. Ideally, two treatments per week are recommended. Most patients feel improvement after 4 to 6 sessions – sometimes only after completing the full course of treatment.
Our acupuncture package includes 8 to 10 sessions (depending on the condition), with the first two currently offered free of charge. Each session is tailored to your specific needs. Until the official Swiss certification is obtained, we offer fair and transparent pricing. After recognition, treatment can be billed through your basic health insurance. With many years of experience, we ensure attentive and personalized care.
